China 6 Major Ceramic Porcelain Tiles Production Bases

Chinese ceramics are world-famous and world-renowned. As one of the ceramics categories, China ceramic porcelain tiles are also favored by many countries and regions.

China’s ceramic porcelain tile products have many varieties, large quantities, good quality, high-middle and low-end products, large choices and reasonable prices, so the proportion of Chinese ceramic tiles in the international market is expanding.

The unprecedented development of China’s real estate industry in recent years is closely related to the huge demand for building wall tiles and floor tiles in the real estate market. With the rapid development of China’s ceramic production technology and technology, the personalized products of the ceramic tile market are prominent, and the development of ceramic tile products has begun to become high-end.

Now Chinese ceramic tile enterprises are aiming at the high-end market, emphasizing the adjustment of product structure and increasing the added value of products, while also taking into account the overall interests of the industry, through efforts to improve product technology content, increase independent innovation, and cultivate independent brands to achieve sustainable development. .

So where are the main producing areas of Chinese ceramics? Now let me introduce the six major production bases of Chinese ceramics porcelain tiles.

1. Guangdong ceramic tile production base

Guangdong is one of the birthplaces of Chinese ceramic wall tiles. At present, the annual output accounts for more than 50% of the country’s total output. The main production base is in Foshan, Foshan ceramics is famous over the world, and other cities are Heyuan, Zhaoqing and Qingyuan, that around the Foshan city.

Foshan Ceramics ranks first in all major producing areas in terms of production scale, technical level, enterprise management and product support, leading the trend of building ceramics in China.

2. Sichuan ceramic tile production base

Sichuan Jiajiang production area has produced a considerable amount of production with the unique manufacturing method of red body. It is known as the “Western Porcelain Capital”. The advantage of the Sichuan producing area is that the energy, raw materials and labor are low. Although the development time of the producing area is not long, it has formed a certain scale.

However, since the second half of last year, the development momentum of the Sichuan producing areas has slowed down for three reasons:

The radiation area of the production area is narrow, covering almost only the three provinces of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, and Chongqing and parts of the northwest. Although the price of Sichuan ceramics is low, the overall consumption level in the southwestern region is also low, and it is impossible to develop too fast.

Transportation in the Southwest is also relatively difficult.

The scale of ceramic enterprises in Sichuan is still small, and it still does not have a scale effect, and the relative cost is relatively high. In addition, the price of gas and electricity has risen rapidly, and the supply and supply of gas are insufficient. They have weakened their competitive advantage.

Due to the investment intervention of Guangdong ceramics enterprises, the image of “Jiajiang Ceramics” has been greatly improved, and the future prospects are bright.

3. East China Tile Production Base

The Taiwanese-funded or joint ventures represented by the Shanghai area have an advantage in glazing products, especially glazed tiles, and are unique in corporate management.

The ceramic products produced in East China are on the high-end route, and the price is very high. It can be said that the ceramic enterprises in East China are at the forefront of building ceramics in China in terms of upgrading grades, establishing brands and maintaining prices.

However, due to limited production and the inability to achieve a large market share, they have a greater influence in the high-priced product market, but the market share of low- and medium-priced products is not large.

4. Fujian ceramic tile production base

Fujian is also an important ceramic producing area. Fujian used to be wall bricks and floor tiles. Now it has moved to the direction of stone bricks, and has come out of a road with its own characteristics.

Fujian ceramics enterprises have many small factories, small kiln and small presses, but they have chosen to play characteristic cards, and they also have their own unique world, mainly based on wall tiles.

5. Shandong ceramic tile production base

Shandong is also one of the important ceramic production bases in China, mainly concentrated in Zibo and Linyi. In addition, Yantai, Jinan, Laiwu and other places also have some ceramic enterprises.

Shandong’s various architectural ceramics, garden ceramics, sanitary ceramics, industrial ceramics, art ceramics and other products, rich in variety, fashionable and have a certain level.

The biggest advantage of Shandong production area is that its sales area has a wide radiation surface, reaching northeast, north China and east China. The radiation radius is very large. In such a large radiation surface, medium and low grade ceramic products have advantages.

Secondly, Shandong also has a comparative advantage in energy. The public ownership enterprises in Shandong architectural ceramics enterprises account for a certain proportion, so the mechanism is not flexible enough, and the average technical level has a certain gap with Guangdong, and the products are mainly in the middle and low grades.

6. Jiangxi ceramic tile production base

The Jiangxi production area was originally concentrated in Gao’an, and Gao’an was once known as the glazed brick kingdom. In recent years, Foshan ceramic enterprises and Jiangsu and Zhejiang ceramic enterprises have been invested in Jiangxi by the local government to promote energy conservation and emission reduction policies.

At present, many large-scale production bases such as Gao’an, Jingdezhen, Jiujiang and Pingxiang have been formed. With the follow-up of upstream and downstream enterprises and the improvement of supporting facilities, the development potential of Jiangxi production areas cannot be underestimated.
